20 Apr 2018, Posted by Shrub in Boat
O  N March 13th 2018 I put a bid on a Bayfield 29 located in Miami, Florida.
On March 18th my offer was accepted (for $100 LESS than what I offered, so I wouldn’t be broke, how kind is that?)

I purchased a $1000 2002 Toyota Echo from a friend, packed the car with what would fit, the two cats, the shitbox, and on the 22nd we pulled out of the condo in Seattle and started our eight day drive straight through to Miami, only stopping to sleep (in the car) around sundown each night.
It was a beautfiful drive that took us through the snowy mountains, the high desert plains, though the middle of America, through the backwoods of Tennessee (thanks Waze (sic)) to the warm sunny shores of Florida.

On March 30th we arrived early in the morning to Dinner Key Marina and took possession of Frannie C, a 1978 Bayfield 29, moved both cats and all of our shit aboard, and we have been living on her since.

Peace & Love
